JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibilities of the CNC Programmer are:
• Writes and modifies CNC programs to create complex parts on 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers.
• Develops workholding fixtures and select cutting tools for machining.
• Creates and compiles necessary documents to aid setting up machines. Maintains proper revisions.
• Writes CNC programs for 2, axis and mill center lathes.
• Integrates work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory.
• Works to deadlines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Five years experience in writing CNC programs in a machining environment.
• Demonstrates proficiency with CAD (solid modeling) and CAM software.
• Five years experience using one of the following: SurfCam, CamWorks, GibbsCam and MasterCam.
• Experience in using SolidWorks, CATIA, and/or AutoCad Inventor.
• Proficient with GD&T.
• Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
• Aerospace experience a plus.
• CMM programming experience a plus.
• Experience in writing and editing post processors a plus.

We have an immediate opening for an Injection Molding Supervisor/ Process Technician.

This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the molding production floor to achieve maximum utilization. Performs, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure product flow, quality standards and schedule commitments are met for production shift. Reports to the Manager of Plastic Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide proactive leadership in regards to productivity, cost reduction, safety, and personnel performance improvements.
Mentor and develop Set-up/Process technicians with all aspects of injection molding machine set-up.
Mentor, assist, and train Set-up/Process technicians and leads to be effective in their roles.
Ensure molding department adherence to all procedures, SOP’s, and safety practices. Assist with the development and revision of operator instructions and procedures.
Establish and provide clear guidelines of expectations following company guidelines and policy.
Foster a culture of professionalism and pride in the work and accomplishments of staff and subordinates. Provide relevant and timely recognition and apply discipline consistently and fairly.
Trains and orientates new employees.
Serve as a good role model for teamwork, attitude, performance and quality awareness.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong technical background in the process and set-up of injection molds and injection molding machines.
Strong manufacturing leadership traits.
A minimum of 10 years of recent and provable experience in an Injection Molding manufacturing facility, using scientific methods and data driven decisions.
Must have previous supervisory experience.
Ability to communicate both orally and written.
Regular and predictable attendance
Excellent math skills
Must be able to work in fast paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Technical education in plastics manufacturing preferred.
Proficient with computer software as needed to perform job functions such as MS Office software and ERP software, IQMS preferred.

This includes fixtures, programming and set-up for vertical and horizontal milling machines, as well as conventional machining for related components. Five years minimum experience in this field is required and skills needed include the following;

___ Assemble tools from tool list and work instructions.
___ Change machine programs in machine memory.
___ Use tool setting gauge to set tool length, set values in tool offset table.
___ Find work coordinates using edge finder or test indicator.

___ Read basic blueprints
