Hospital is seeking a General Adult or Child Psychiatrist. This is a private practice opportunity with a cash collections guarantee from the hospital with support services. This could possibly be an employed situation for the right candidate. The hospital is a 16 bed inpatient unit for ages 50 +. The average Inpatient Census is currently 5 and it is expected to be 8. Candidate will have an inpatient medical director role and stipend. The physician will have a full support staff including a Program Director/ Nurse Manager, a Community Education Manager, and a Social Worker. Candidate will also be able to set up their own outpatient program. There is call being provided 24/7 by telemedicine. There is a relocation allowance and sign-on bonus. Residents or experienced candidates are acceptable as are B/E or B/C. Foreign Med Grads and Visa Grads can be considered but they MUST have excellent communication skills.

But you might also spot mountain lion, bobcat, mule deer, snakes and coyotes.

The Position
Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting.

This position is located in Carson City, NV at the Rural Regional Center (RRC) which is a state agency that provides community based services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and related conditions in rural Nevada. Duties for this position include: provide clinical consultation based on functional behavior analysis; participate in positive behavior support planning; provide training and consultation to families and direct care providers; conduct assessments including but not limited to testing of adaptive and cognitive functioning; provide individual, group, and family counseling and facilitate psycho-educational programs under supervision of licensed psychologists. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of service delivery systems for people with intellectual disabilities, and a philosophy of person-directed planning and fiscal and program accountability. The incumbent is responsible for meeting professional work standards and ethical guidelines, and ensuring the agency meets applicable state and federal regulations and policies.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and two years of post-master’s degree professional mental health counseling experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
